Ginger Tackles the Great North Swim

Tracy Jesson, Managing Director of Ginger Marketing, was one of over 10,000 people to take part in this year's Great North Swim in Lake Windermere.

The event, organised by British Gas, was fully subscribed within six weeks of opening, making the 2011 event their biggest yet.

Taking the swimmer on either a 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 mile route in Lake Windermere, it is not an event you would enter without some serious consideration - or so you would think!

Having already signed up for the 2011 Marie Curie 2.5k Swimathon in Sheffield, Tracy decided it was a good idea to enter the Great North Swim - that was as much though as was put into the decision making process!

With her usual enthusiasm and ability to put a positive spin on things, Tracy managed to persuade Natalie Rodgers, Managing Director of Scala Uk and Bronia Hartley, Barrister at Zenith Chambers, Leeds. to join her in the 1 mile swim.

Although nerves did kick in for all three girls, the event was a huge success and all three finished the race in good time and in high spirits.

Tracy, who swam on behalf of The Rainbow Trust, raised over £150 for the charity and completed the 1 mile course in 36 minutes and 46 seconds.

Tracy said:
"The Great North Swim was a fantastic opportunity and one of the most exhilarating things I have ever done.
"It was great to see so many people embracing the open water challenge and all doing it to raise money for charity.
"I will definitely be doing it again next year and will hopefully be able to persuade a few more people to join me."

Marketing Masterclass at The Imperial!

Imperial Buildings, Rotherham.

Ginger recently held a 'Creative Industries Marketing Masterclass' at the Imperial Buildings, Rotherham.

The session went really well with, amongst others, photographers, potters and alternative clothing retailers, turning up, giving really positive feedback and getting a lot out of the 2 hours - we even ended up moving the session over to the pub afterwards!

I would like to say thank you to all those that took part!
